There’s this girl on my class… She’s not my friend, but we get the same bus. She’s really sweet and nice. Today while waiting for the bus she wasn’t feeling ok, her blood pressure was really low, her face was pale and she was sweating a lot. I took her to the closest pharmacy, looking for help and a attendent called an ambulance to take her to the hospital. She was so desperate, and I was so worried. I never saw someone in so much pain like she was today. She cried a lot and fainted in front of me over 6 times. I called her mom several times but I couldn’t reach her. When the ambulance arrived her blood pressure was 80/90. On the way to the hospital she fainted again. When we got there, while I was with a nurse, giving her ID number and stuff, her mom returned my calls and I informed her where we were. After a while she got there and my mom went there to take me home. Now I just got a phone call from her, saying that she was already home and that she was fine. She thanked me so much, blessed me, told me how good person I am. I guess no one ever told me things like she did. Those words really made me feel special. Important. And knowing that I helped her only makes me proud of myself, because I can’t stop imagining what could’ve happened to her if she hasn’t told me that she wasn’t feeling alright. She could’ve fainted in the middle of the street on the way home and God knows what could’ve happened. On the phone call she told me to congratulate my mother for raising me so well. I’m feeling so relieved now, knowing that she’s really ok!
